SOCIAL SERVICE AWARDS RECEIVED: Since March and through following months of the year 2020, U.S. Hunan Association donated 100,000 surgical masks and substantial amounts of other PPEs to Great Bay Area hospitals and health care facilities, senior centers, schools and day cares, other essential businesses such as restaurants, technology companies, banks, police department, charitable organizations and residents in helping them fighting COVID-19. U.S. Hunan Association (USHNA) is organized and operated in the U.S. as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization for the purpose of engaging domestic and international activities in the fields of education and charity including public support and natural disaster relief, etc. All these activities and programs aforementioned are intended to benefit the general public. USHNA evolved from “Hunan Association of Northern California” which was established in April 2005 and it’s headquartered in the San Francisco-Silicon Valley Great Bay Area.

The Association’s mission is to strengthen connections among Hunan people, to provide service, to establish friendship, to help each other among members, to contribute to the society for its better future. Its focus is to help the domestic and international community strengthen research, development and communications in educational, cultural, medical, scientific and other areas; and to provide a variety of social services.

美国湖南联谊会（U.S. Hunan Association）简介

美国湖南联谊会（英文名U.S. Hunan Association，简称USHA）于2005年4月19日在旧金山市，由拥有40年历史的“北加州湖南同乡会”改组而成，经美国政府合法立案501(C)(3)非营利组织机构，总部设在美国旧金山-硅谷湾区。

联谊会宗旨为：
1. 联络乡情，服务湘亲，互助互爱，共同进步，協助鄉親發展事業。

2. 热爱居住国，遵守美国法律，融入主流社会，为当地社会的进步和发展做出贡献。

3. 热爱家乡故土，回馈桑梓, 增进与家乡湖南各地与及中国各省市的多方合作和交流; 弘扬中華文化。

NATIONAL DAY DONATIONS--During the July 4th, 2020 Independence Day long weekend period, U.S. Hunan Association made over 10 PPE donations to different organizations such as exampled by above picture photos:

#1-3: VP Sophia Cao and her husband Frank Fu delivered 3000 masks to 4 schools

#4: Board member Sherrie Sommers delivered face masks to Bill of Fare Restaurant in San Jose

#5-6: Board member Carrie Fu delivered 1000 masks to 2 construction companies Tom's Construction and Lluvig Construction.

#7-9: USHNA's youngest volunteer, 12-year old international star Michelle Ahl, together with her parents Jane Huang and Rick Ahl delivered 3000 masks to Peninsular Family Service, Self-Help for the Elderly and Bilingual Day Care & After School Learning Center.

美国国庆节期间捐出大批防口罩疫

2020美国国庆节期间，本会捐出超过10批口罩防疫口罩给旧金山湾区的十几个机构包括医疗机构，老人院，社区自助服务慈善机构，各类学校，主流建筑公司，主流餐厅等。

这是本会以下计划的一部分：美国湖南联谊会“湖南捐赠防疫物资分配管理委员会”将精心计划和统筹安排，把从湖南收到的全部防疫物资全部纳入转增给本会湘籍会员、历次为湖南抗疫和赈济水灾冰灾的捐款人、居住北美的美国华人华侨、湖南及中国留学生、兄弟湖湘同乡和湖南商会组织、湘菜餐厅、本地和全国多地医院及各种医疗机构、继续开业的高科技企业和银行、各类学校、托儿所、老人院、警察署、消防队、政府机构和其它慈善机构的【湖南家乡捐赠10万爱心口罩转赠计划】。

DONATIONS TO SHERIFF & HOSPITAL--

April 15, 2020, U.S. Hunan Association (USHNA) donated 10,000 surgical masks to Santa Clara County Sheriff and Valley Medical Center Foundation. Santa Clara County Sheriff Chief Laurie Smith and Valley Medical Foundation Center CEO Chris Milder were at present to receive the donations, 5,000 masks each.

Because of this, California Assembly has issued an award certificate to USHNA. (Above photo: USHNA representatives Frank Auyeung, Sherrie Sommers and Tracy Zhao were presenting the PPEs).

本会一次性筹集10,000只口罩，参加4月15日硅谷新冠病毒抗疫物资大捐献仪式，当场分别捐赠给硅谷中心医院 Valley Medical Center 和硅谷圣塔克拉拉郡警察署 Santa Clara County Sheriff 各5,000个。两个奋战在抗疫一线单位当场为之热烈鼓掌并发言表示衷心的感谢。

4月15日防疫物资捐赠仪式盛况：加州州议员朱感生发起向硅谷Santan Clara 郡医院、警署、消防署集体捐赠防护物资，多个华人团体包括美国湖南联谊会，湖北同乡会+华中理工大学校友会+武汉大学校友会，浙江大学校友会等团体及个人积极响应共同参与。短短几天筹集了医用口罩超过十万，手套十万，防护服400，N95 300，善款$34,000，无上限的午餐盒，还有面罩和消毒液等等。

捐赠仪式当日早晨10:00am在Valley Medical Foundation Center前面举行，朱感生议员主持，硅谷中心医院VMFC 的CEO Chris Milder 和圣塔克拉拉郡警长Laurie Smith及副警长出席接受捐赠。

朱感生州议员代发的加州州议会【表彰证书】上写道：加利福尼亚州议会特此表彰美国湖南联谊会，在全州抗击新冠病毒的紧急状况下，通过慷慨捐献个人防护设备PPE给一线人员而为社区所作出的不懈努力。
